On April 29, 2023, the University of Pennsylvania will host 10 distinguished professors, scholars, and opinion leaders incorporating fields such as political science, women and gender studies, anthropology, and philosophy. This panel will focus, discuss and debate events in the Iranian freedom movement past and present.
The two panels will be led by Dr. Kashani Sabet a renowned scholar, author and professor at The University of Pennsylvania and Sarah Eskandar PhD candidate in history and women’s studies. This panel will concentrate on productive steps to intellectually advance the Woman.Life.Freedom movement, to effectively raise awareness of historical sexual violence in Iran and to generate practical solutions to prevent its continuance. As well as discuss Islamic extremists actions in attempt to weaken the foundation of this movement and the historical context of chemical attacks on girls schools.
